About TVHPP...

TVHPP stands for Tapovan Vishnugarh Hydro Power Project, an ambitious project of NTPC Ltd India.
Located in the Uttrakhand State of India in the foot of Great Himalaya, this project is a pursuance of clean and green energy. Project offices have been located in a small town JOSHIMATH,

Various site offices have been scattered approximately around 30 Km peripheries of this town. The project area is very picturesque and beautiful.

I joined this project on 1st June 2006 and have been associated with all its ups and downs since then along with a very energetic and enthusiastic bunch of executives.

Use of TBM, underground Powerhouse are few among the many technical vibrancy of this project. On completion this project would be able to deliver 520 MW of electricity by its 4 nos. of turbine units. River Dhuliganga would be feeding this project for the production of electricity. Instead of constructing a Dam this would be a Run-of-the river scheme that means low pondage area, low submergence area and low disturbance of the local population.

We are keeping fingers crossed for the timely completion of this project and we all hope we'd be able to see it running within the scheduled dates.
